Privacy Policy

This policy describes information processing carried out by GPSwitch and the official ajz-labs.com/gpswitch website.

1. Controller and contact

2. Use without an account and optional account

GPSwitch can be used locally without creating an account. An account is optional and is used for features requiring remote identity, such as profile, manual cloud backup and, where applicable, Premium purchase or restoration.

3. Account data

If you create an account, data required for authentication and profile management is processed. Authentication and associated infrastructure are provided through Supabase.

4. Data stored locally

GPSwitch may store favourites, routes, points, stops, speeds, history, preferences, configuration and exported files locally on the device.

5. Real and mock location

With Android permissions you choose to grant, GPSwitch may request the real device location for display or use in the interface. Simulation is performed locally using Android mock-location capabilities and a foreground service.

6. Manual cloud backup

When explicitly requested, GPSwitch may send a snapshot of saved data to Supabase. Backup is not started automatically just by signing in.

7. Purchases and Premium restoration

When available, Google Play may provide technical purchase data needed to validate entitlements.

8. External services used

Depending on the feature, GPSwitch may communicate with Supabase, OpenStreetMap / Nominatim, CARTO, Google Play and apps selected by the user. Road-following route calculation may use OSRM-based routing services and send the coordinates needed to calculate the route.

9. Advertising, analytics and tracking

GPSwitch does not integrate third-party advertising and does not use location data for personalised advertising. The website does not currently include its own advertising profiling tools.

10. Account deletion and retention

The account can be deleted from the app. Local device data is not automatically deleted when a remote account is deleted.

11. Legal bases and purposes

Main purposes are to provide requested features, maintain security, respond to support, manage voluntary backups and validate purchase entitlements where applicable.

12. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to limit processing and protect accounts and the service.

13. Children

GPSwitch is not specifically designed for children and does not target minors as its primary audience.

14. Website and support

The hosting provider may generate technical logs necessary to provide and protect the site. Support messages are processed to answer the request.

15. Rights

You may exercise applicable rights by writing to support@ajz-labs.com and lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

16. Changes

This policy may be updated when features, providers or applicable obligations change.
